Richard (Rick) Shapiro, B.A., J.D. owns a full-service Merger and Acquisition firm in Scottsdale, Arizona, and is personally involved in the overall management of the firm known as The Wheatley Group. We are intimately involved in the “preparation and value creation” process to help owners (our clients) of privately held companies maximize price, and bring other “exit strategy” benefits to our clients. I have sold companies in virtually every sector of the marketplace, to myriad buyers, including NYSE, NASDAQ, Private Equity Groups, Larger privately held companies, and Affluent individuals. I am a former practicing attorney in NY and AZ and hold an active AZ Real Estate Broker’s License.
My true passion concerns my work as a Cancer Advocate, Researcher, Educator and Consultant. This is a part-time yet critically important endeavor of mine, to apprise people about evidence based treatments that engender significant medical benefits and enhance the longevity and quality of people’s lives. I have attended over a dozen cancer conferences, nationwide, during the past 5 years and have been fortunate to befriend many renowned, front-line doctors, scientists, researchers and educators who have provided me with great insights and knowledge pertaining to efficacious & safe cancer-fighting tools. |
These intrepid individuals are dedicated to confronting this insidious intruder and healing people, through the implementation of rational-integrative and alternative treatments & therapies. I have also engaged in hundreds of intimate discussions and interviews with people nationwide, who were given dire prognoses, often terminal, however, many have confounded their doctors with remarkable out-comes. Learning about their journeys on a personal and medical basis, and “why” they continue to thrive, has been an honor and a privilege.
I am also the Author of a book entitled Hope Never Dies, due to be published in the late summer of 2016. It is divided into three sections. Part One – “How 20 Late-Stage and Terminal Cancer Patients Beat the Odds;” Part Two – “Exclusive Interviews with 5 Renowned Cancer Specialists and How They Are Saving Lives Now;” Part Three – “67 Critical Questions to Ask, Before Hiring Your Cancer Doctor.” It is my greatest hope that this impending book will galvanize and empower people to think outside the medical toolbox or, at least, consider expanding it (beyond the “strict standard of care”) to include evidence based, personalized integrative and alternative therapies that are saving lives now! Finally, I hope it will provide people with: Hope and the Courage to become “critical thinkers,” before embarking upon the daunting journey of choosing a cancer fighting & healing strategy, so ultimately they may find: peace, enduring health and a greater quality of life.
