Peter Fabrikant Bio

Annie Appleseed Project - Peter FabrikantPeter literally grew up in the family jewelry business throughout his teenage years up to and after graduating from Syracuse University in 1966. He then continued his passion back into the family business until he went into the army during the time of the Vietnam War. In 1968, Peter joined his brothers, Robert and Sherwin at 1200 Avenue of the Americas, the building that his father built.

In 1973, Peter branched out on his own and went into business in his uncle, Bill Fabrikant’s jewelry exchange at the corner of 47th Street and 5th Avenue. During this time, Peter concentrated his efforts towards both buying and selling estate jewelry. In 1992, Peter and Andrew came together to form Andrew & Peter Fabrikant and created a unique opportunity to specialize in the service of buying, which was virtually non-existent at the time.

Annie Appleseed Project - Peter Fabrikant's yorkiesWeeks before his marriage to Pamela Fabrikant in 1999, Peter was diagnosed with colon cancer. A year later his wife was diagnosed with breast cancer. They have both “survived” conventional treatment, but his wife always believed in holistic, mind, body, spirit healing and was thrilled when introduced to Ann Fonfa at Annie Appleseed. The Fabrikants became involved immediately and do all they can to help people discover this path.

Peter is an avid golfer and has a strong interest in animal rescue. He adores his two yorkies, Zsu Zsu and Jolie.
