Urinary Isoflavone Profile Excretion
Revival soy is being used in yet another new breast cancer study by a
prominent cancer research center in Seattle, Washington. The study is
scheduled to begin in March of 2001.
Many epidemiological studies show that
consumption of soy protein is associated with a reduced risk of breast
cancer. Researchers have shown in the past secretion of certain types of
soy isoflavones in urine (because of soy protein consumption) is associated
with a reduced risk of breast cancer.
Over 400 women will begin Revival
protein bars during the next 3 years.
Researchers will measure the amount
and types of Revival soy isoflavones and soy isoflavone metabolites
excreted by the women over a 3-day period.
