Theo Responds to criticism of St Georg Klini

I hope this piece will be a small contribution to restore faith in the clinic on the Appleseed website.

As a patient with colon cancer I'm ever so grateful to the person who told me about the Clinic St. Georg in Bad Aibling, and about the methods to fight cancer other than the usual and regular methods.

After reading about these methods used at the Clinic St. Georg on the internet, I decided to visit Bad Aibling in June 2001 and present my case to Dr. Douwes. My case at that time was not a hopeless one.

First I'd had a successful colon surgery, then learned about metastases and quite a heavy tumor load in my liver.

I started therapy in July of that same year, and have been back there five times. The treatment, which consists of a combination of hyperthermia, hot-needle and chemo, has been very successful so far. Of the initial nine lesions in my liver, there are only four left, and the predictions are very hopeful.

Thanks to this treatment, I haven't felt sick for one day and resumed my work for a few days a week.

The treatment I receive at the Clinic St. Georg I cannot get in my country. On the other hand, I notice that a slow shift in opinion is developing among the regular physicians. They are more open to the success that these "new" methods have.

The whole idea of using hyperthermia as an additional method in controlling and even curing different kinds of cancer is gaining ground.

I am convinced that the doctors (oncologists) at the Clinic St. Georg in Bad Aibling are, at this time, ahead of their fellow physicians of the regular medical world, but I also expect that in ten years, this treatment will become universal.

Remember we are NOT Doctors and have NO medical training.
