Research
Important Findings:
reduced blood pressure
reduced lower-back pain
increased bone density (+1.51%)
improved circulation
more supple joints and muscles
vibration therapy in some cases an alternative to operations
The Department of Biomedical Engineering of New York State University proved that vibration therapy is effective in the treatment of patients suffering from osteoporosis.
Following the treatment of 6 people who were suffering from this condition using the VibroGym, it was proved that vibration techniques could play a key role in the biomedical treatment of osteoporosis.
The Department of Biomedical Sciences in Aberdeen, Scotland arrived at the same conclusion. They found that vibration therapy is a good therapeutical treatment method for osteoporosis.

For a period of more than 6 months, S.M.P. Verscheuren researched the effects of Whole Body Vibration on the bone density of patients suffering from osteoporosis. Earlier studies had indicated that certain medicines can slow down the decrease of bone density, but no evidence had ever been found of a therapy that could actually increase bone density.
Verscheuren proved that bone density was increased by 1.51% following VibroGym treatments.

Researchers of the Department of Biomedical Sciences in Aberdeen carried out an intensive study into Whole Body Vibration. They concluded that vibration training is an effective non-pharmaceutical form of therapy that eases pain in the lower back.
(Acta Physiologica. 2003; 90(3):195-206)
The Department of Cognitive Neurology of the University of Tόbingen in Germany used the VibroGym to treat 6 patients suffering from physical problems as a result of a stroke in the right half of the brain.
It turned out to be an effective form of therapy, which had the great advantage of rendering operations unnecessary.

A study of vibration therapy that was conducted at the Groningen College of Higher Education indicated that vibration therapies lead to greater improvements in the circulation system than conventional therapies.
J. Kelderman, Groningen College of Higher Education, 2001.
In Idaho (US) S. Sordorff carried out research for Pneumex into the effects of the VibroGym on blood pressure, among other things.
Following treatment with the VibroGym blood pressure was clearly lower than that of the control group (-10/-7 compared to -8/-1).
