Lymphedem Research FUNDS available 2006

The Lymphatic Research Foundation (LRF) Grant Programs

(Anticipated Program Launch 2006)

LRF is dedicated to promoting and supporting lymphatic research, and to fostering the growth of an interdisciplinary field of lymphatic investigation.

We believe that research can provide health benefits to all individuals, and that research-driven therapeutic advances will ultimately lead to a cure for lymphatic disease, lymphedema, and related disorders. In 2006, LRF will launch the following three national grant programs:

(1) the LRF Fellowship Awards Program, two-year stipends to support investigators during their first two years of postdoctoral training;

(2) the LRF Creating Centers of Excellence Awards Program, $200,000 awards over two years to foster the development of centers of excellence in lymphatic research, education and patient care; and

(3) the LRF Exploratory Awards Program, $50,000 one-year awards to support hypothesis-driven, innovative pilot projects (renewable for one year, pending sustained funding application).

For more information about the Lymphatic Research Foundation, please go to www.lymphaticresearch.org or call (516) 625-9675. Guidelines will be posted at the LRF website in 2006.
