Q. Do you have a maintenance protocol afterward?
A. Lots of vitamins and minerals, Chinese herbs,
enzymes (I use Wobenzyme plus 3,000 mg of pancreatin
daily, and 500 mg taurine - I added the pancreatin &
taurine on my own). I administer twice weekly
subcutaneous injections of thymus extract, and see my
local GP for 3 other injections once weekly. I know
them by their German brand names, Ney Tumorin,
Carcinoma mammae-Injeel forte (a homeopathic breast
cancer vaccination, basically), and Medivitan N
(contains, among other things, folic acid). I also get
a B-12 injection every 2 weeks. < <
Q. Is this a protocol devised by Dr. D? What is the
purpose of the B12? What is his step by step strategy?
For example, does he (1) try to remove the tumor load
with galvanic and hyperthermia then (2) concentrate on
immune stimulation via thymus, herbs and (3) detoxing?
A. Yes, this is much of the list he gave me to take to
the pharmacy when I left the Klinik. I was getting
all of these things before and during treatment as
well, so it isn't just a follow-up maintenance
protocol. In fact, he tends to describe the program
in the opposite order: detox, immunotherapy, and then
treatment. The immune system needs plenty of
stimulation and power to recognize and fight invaders
such as cancer cells. Cancer patients tend to need
detoxing and liver support too.
B12 gives you energy! Before meeting Prof. Douwes, I
used to get a B12 injection from my doctor once a
month (my request), when I thought of it. I was very
faithful about getting one the day before every
concert tour. I don't know if other Klinik patients
get B12, but I mentioned to Prof. Douwes that I get
these injections and he was very enthusiastic and told
me to get them every 2 weeks rather than only once a
month.
I tend to be very anemic, and this can sap my
strength. I find if I am tired and low-energy, I can
fall prey to worry, tension, and negative feelings, in
addition to having lowered immune response. I take
things like CoQ10 (300 mg daily), kelp, spirulina, and
either eat lots of fresh garlic or if on tour, take
aged Kyolic caps. All of these give me a tremendous
energy boost and bolster my immune system too. I take
them in high doses, and not at night - they'll keep me
awake.
