The sad truth is that chemo is big business. Last year, when my
husband was operated on for colon cancer, one of his first visitors
was an oncologist who wanted Fred to make an appointment for chemo.
I
checked Ralph Moss's book, Questioning Chemotherapy, and learned that
for Fred's early stage "even the NCI" says that adjuvant chemotherapy
is not recommended.
When visiting an oncologist for the first time, I think it is
important for everyone to be accompanied by a patient advocate or a
knowledgeable friend.
