Conference Participants' Comments

A lot of terrific networking took place - advocates from all over the United States got a chance to sit down together and really exchange ideas.

Some of the terrific things that happened as a result of this event:

1) CAM practitioner joins board of South Florida-based breast cancer group

2) Florida-based naturopath incorporates information from conference into his practice

3) Participants add CAM practitioners to their own healthcare

4) Advocates report back to their local groups with information learned at meeting

5) National 'buzz' - people are talking about complementary and alternative therapies because of our meeting

From an August 2008 email:

Hello Ann I am quite sure you are planning for your next conference. I have spoken about you to many individuals here in Indy as well as J. W., prostate cancer advocate.

He has told me he is doing some of the things he learned when he attended the conference. I am too! I am still eating organic fruits, veggies, and even eating organic cookies (which I truly love).

There is a man here in Indianapolis, Phil Taggert who developed an organic brownie, and before he actually put it on the market, I was his guinea pig (LOL). To be honest with you,

I love the brownies, he uses organic walnuts and some other type of chocolate, I can't remember, but I know I love those brownies too.
