ABSTRACT: Breast mass removal made easy by the lump extractor: introducing a new instrument in breast surgery [08/27/2001; European Journal of Surgical Oncology] The difficulty encountered in the removal of breast lumps has been addressed by the use of a new instrument. The lump extractor described in this paper allows minimal scar surgery and prevents crushing of the breast mass. Ann's NOTE: There has been discussion of spread of cancer cells through 'crushing' during mammogram or surgery.
