To whom it may concern:
I read the AnnieAppleseed website with great interest. The Black Salve especially sparked my interest, I'm sure I have used a similar or the same salve some 30 years ago. We were all excited to get it, but things didn't work out for us.
First I followed a link to a website and found and ordered a Black Ointment. This is a very good ointment, I'm sure, for many applications, but it is not what we expected, which is a cure for cancer and for warts.
I started my search again and found a Black Salve from TriHerba
www.smarthealthcenter.com
They described their Black Salve to the T as what it's supposed to be. We ached under the price, but we needed it and ordered it.
It didn't do ANYTHING!
I was so looking forward to using it internally also, since I have ovarian cysts, and also wanted to use it for my dogs if needed. We recently lost one to cancer.
I wrote an e-mail to the company and got no response at all. They have my phone# on file, since there was a question about my credit card and they had no problem contacting me to complete the sale. I sent another e-mail, - no reply.
For your info I have copied and pasted my e-mail to TriHerba into this mail. We feel cheated and believe this company is pulling one over on their customers. We are now out of over $80.00 total and have gotten nothing for it.
I don't think that there is anything you can do, but I wanted you to know that there are quacks out there, tainting your and everybody else's good name and sincere efforts in the natural healing research. Check out their website, you will find info that is like a word for word copy from your website.
Kind regards,
Gabi

And I *DO* hope it will concern someone....
I sent you the following letter on June 12, 2005, and have as of yet not heard back from you. I find this very disappointing. For an expensive product like the Black Salve, I would have expected excellent customer service.
We have not used it again, as apparently it is not effective at all.
Kind regards,
Gabi

Dear "Smart Health People"!
We received our Black Salve on June 2, and applied it that night. My husband has two very resistant warts on his hands, that he has for a long time. I applied the salve to a couple of my pre-cancerous lesions and to a strange growth, that grew from the inside out (not started by any kind of external injury).
To back peddle some, - the day our salve arrived, it was over 90 degree F, and so was the day before. I don't know if that was the problem, but most of the liquid had seeped out of the jar. I stirred what little remained back into the paste, and that's how it is, not like a salve, but like black grout.
Well, we applied it as per instruction, left it on a little longer than 12 hours and when taken off, it was obvious that nothing happened at all. The next evening we used sterile needles to poke some holes in the growths and the edges and reapplied the coarse salve. This time we left it on for about 20 hours and absolutely nothing happened to my husbands warts (I understand that those are viral), and not much happened to my growth on my leg.
I did not put it on the lesions, I wanted to see some reaction else where first. My growth developed a little bit of pus where I poked in with the needle, but after that was healed up nothing else changed.
We are kind of perplexed by the salve not doing anything at all to the warts. I used a black slave many, many years ago (bought in Germany) that did exactly what you describe, to a deep seated wart on my finger.
The growth came out after a while, roots and all, leaving a gaping hole that slowly healed. I still have the scar from it and we expected the same thing to happen to my husbands warts.
I hope you can help us out with advise. We don't have health insurance and depend on finding natural resources for our well-being. Spending this kind of money and not getting the results expected is a little disheartening.
Kind regards,
Gabi
