Eight years ago, the Philippine Breast Cancer Network was born soon after the historic 1st World Conference on Breast Cancer by just one woman who only had her daughters in mind. The silence and apathy in the Philippines were shattered and torn with the global movement for the eradication of breast cancer and just one network whose only concern are women of all kind. Women of all ages, color and creed have long borne their vulnerability and increasing exposure to breast cancer but every woman must be empowered never to be resigned. For the many known and unknown who have flown and been reborn the causes of this global epidemic known as breast cancer by every man who has loved a woman, he will find. Pink ribbons and cosmetic options are very much outworn but with a battle cry so loud and true “Freedom from Breast Cancer!” for all mankind must we struggle until it’s been left behind.
