Heretofore androgen independent prostate cancer has been viewed as an
incurable final stage of the disease, with chemotherapy having some
palliative effect.
Recent studies have shown that the use of thalidomide in combination with
other agents has clinical significance in extending patient survival rates.
We have interviewed one of the investigators involved in one of those
studies to get a better understanding of this important breakthrough. The
