For the wannabe sprouters among us:
I just talked to someone at Super Sprouts Inc., 205 Spadina Ave. Toronto (416) 977-7796 about sending broccoli seeds to the US by mail order. So far, mail order for sprouting seeds and supplies has been limited to Canada and she is not sure whether shipping to the US is possible. They carry certified organic seeds.
There is a website, currently under revision (so prices etc. may not be up to date) but other information is there:

How to sprout:
Soak a teaspoon of seeds in purified water 8-12 hours in a sterilized wide mouth glass jar. Put a cotton cloth over the mouth with a rubber band. Drain the water, rinse the seeds in pure water, replace the cloth lid, turn upside down on a draining surface, expose to light to maximize the chlorophyll, rinse twice daily and drain well each time. Maximum DIM is achieved in three-day-old sprouts. Didn't think to ask if that is three days after the seed coat breaks or three days from first soaking! Problems with mold can be minimized by:
rinsing in peroxide and water
not letting the jar get too cold or too warm
not keeping the seeds too wet or letting them dry out.
Rinse, drain and refrigerate after the third day of sprouting.
Some people find that the sprouting trays work best.
