CARE Cancer Support Group – Ed Van Overloop - German therapy 9/05 As founder and group leader of the CARE support group for 10 years I have spoken many times of my dislike of conventional chemo and radiation therapies. This “dislike” was bought on by years of hearing of the experiences of our members or thru family or friends who treated stage 4 cancer and went thru terrible suffering and did not survive. This included my own father who went that route with the usual result. Now that I have reached stage 4 advanced prostate cancer with extensive bone metastasis I have had to step and look back at the choices and all my options, as the choices are quite limited. I must say that when the “pain level” of bone mets reached the level of all of your life’s toothaches at once, combined with nausea, weakness, and a total helplessness, it really gets your attention! I thank God that less than one week after the diagnosis of extensive bone mets I received the Burton Goldberg DVD “curing cancer” the best of both worlds. I had not ordered the DVD but Burton had heard from a mutual Doctor friend in California that I was in deep trouble so he sent the DVD. This gave the current story of a group of German doctors who are using the best of conventional medicine combined with the best of alternative therapies. Our medical system would not allow this type of innovative approach. Bottom line is the fact that the Leonardis clinic has success on over 80% of terminal cancers and we are lucky if we do 5 to 10%, quite a disturbing difference! This is being accomplished at the Leonardis clinic by the innovated use of chemo and several alternative supplements, an approach that would not be allowed in the USA. The part that amazes me most is that almost all of the medicine and techniques used in Germany could be available at home in very short order if only our medical climate were different. It appears like our Doctors are handicapped by inappropriate rules which cause some patients to lose their lives to improperly administered cancer therapies each and every day. These are the thoughts I have had as I was treated in Germany and find that each day is better than the one before. Remember we are NOT Doctors and have NO medical training.
